Casa Mandarina
In December 2019 we visited Alhama de Granada for the first time and just fell in love with the town and the surrounding area - so much so that we decided to buy a house there so others could also enjoy such spectacular views and the hospitality of the local people.
La Casa
Delightful Andalusian Moorish townhouse. This two bedroom and one bathroom house comes with a fully equipped kitchen diner, a log burner in the lounge for the colder months, and patio with bbq. There is free WIFI and also a smart TV, which comes with apps including Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as a DVD player with many DVDs to choose from.

Both bedrooms come with linen, bath towels and beach towels. In winter there are electric heating panels and plug in radiators, while in the summer there are very efficient yet quiet table top fans.

Dine al fresco on the patio listening to just the birds and the nearby church bells. The main part of the patio is equipped with 2 sun loungers, parasol and a bbq.

Located in a quiet part of the town, yet just a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants, most of which offer free tapas with every drink.
The Town
Alhama de Granada hosts a good number of bars and restaurants, all providing tapas with every drink. Festivals take place throughout the year including music and wine festivals. Alhama de Granada nestles in the hills and mountains of the Sierra Tejada national park. With stunning scenery, it is a perfect place for walks and exploring rural Andalusia. Or if you're in need of some rejuvenation, then why not try out the hot springs situated just outside the town.
The Beach
Wanting to be near a beach? Alhama de Granada is only a 15 minute drive from a beautiful lake with a sandy beach. Embalse de Los Bermejales is perfect for swimming, canoing or kayaking in its cool fresh water, which gently laps the shore. A must go to place to relax with the stunning mountain backdrop.
The Pool
In town there is a 25 metre municipal swimming pool, with a backdrop of the stunning countryside. Open last week of June to early September, the pool offers a bar/cafe, ice cream kiosk, changing rooms, sun shades and showers. There is also a baby pool for young children.
